The activities we do vary according to age and group. During the day, different activities are offered and the range of materials allows the children to develop in free play. In this section, you will read how we have organised the activities and provide opportunities for optimal free play. Central to this are the values: together(experiencing things together), the other (me and the other, connecting) andbeing yourself (self-esteem).
When offering activities, account is taken of a balance between free play and organised activities, guided and unguided play. Children are given the space to choose their own play and playmates, while the pedagogical staff do show their involvement in the play and take opportunities to deepen or extend it. At different times of the day, developmentally appropriate activities are offered, where children have a free choice as to whether they wish to participate.
Organised activities will often aim at developmental stimulation and talent development in addition to fun. In addition, daily activities such as setting and clearing the table are used to teach children skills and impart values and norms.
